BiPack, Meter Mix Equipment
and Premixed/Frozen
Because dispensing a two component material is complex, we need to know as much as possible
about
your material and application to match the right dispensing solution with
your material. Tell us
about your application, below. We will try to process
this information as soon as possible. *If you have trouble submitting this
form, print and fax to IDS at (818) 597-4301.

Premixed Frozen
Many epoxies,
especially those that have a work life of 45 minutes or more, can be
premixed and frozen for a long time in specially built
cold storage.
Are you using small enough batches that it
might be easier, faster or economical to have the epoxy premixed, frozen
and sent to you, ready for use?
Choose
Premixed/Frozen for a complete solution that is especially good in
robotic or small batches, but can be used in a variety of
cartridges, too.

Premixing adhesives and
pastes eliminates handling and weighing individual components, the mess
associated with mixing them, testing for quality assurance, training employees
to handle hazardous raw materials, and the need to dispose of hazardous wastes.
IDS will obtain the epoxy or other material
you choose, mix and degas (if necessary) in in a centrifuge (if necessary)
and match the container (syringe, cartridge or other) to your specific
dispensing applicator of choice.
BiPack Cartridges
A
BiPack System is used to
dispense 2-component adhesives with
50ML,
200ML and
400ML
cartridge guns and mixers.
A
system typically consists of a hand-held
pneumatic or manual gun,
a dual component cartridge (which
is comprised of a variety of different types of stoppers, plugs and shims), and a motionless mixer.
The adhesive manufacturer will usually supply
materials in BiPacks. If the manufacturer does not provide your adhesives
in cartridges, IDS can pre-package
any dual component material in 50ML, 200ML or
400ML bi-pack cartridges in 1:1, 2:1,4:1 and 10:1 cartridges,
as well as
Universal Cartridges, in some cases.
If your adhesive supplier does not
offer packaging, or if you have already purchased material in bulk, let
IDS
Quote
you on your packaging needs.
Meter Mix
Equipment
Volume is one reason for using a
Meter/Mix/Dispenser, but volume alone is not
the primary deciding factor. In many cases, MMD systems are an upgrade from
hand held systems, particularly when precise, controlled, adhesive shots
are needed. This is often the case with assembly line
and robotic applications.
