Hi Pressure Front Closing Valve for High Viscosity Materials, with a Range of shot sizes, suitable for high viscosity materials at fluid pressures up to 3500 PSI.

Used in an automatic dispensing system, robotic application or with a simple benchtop controller, the front closing valve will work in many varied types of dispensing processes.

The Front Closing Valves dispense according to the length of time the valve is open, the amount of pressure  exerted on the fluid as it comes from the container of your choice.

Choose from syringe, cartridge, pressure pot, etc. as well as the size and shape of the dispense needle or tip.

The fluid viscosity that is being dispensed is a factor and their are differing front closing valves to accommodate higher flows (the HV Models) and for harsh materials (the carbide steel version). Consult with a technician before ordering.

The Front Closing Valves operate by a combination of pneumatic and mechanical functions - by a regulated flow of air pressure and a spring assist. These combine to help move and manage material that fills the interior chamber. The pressure forces the valve to open, which in turn lifts the needle, permitting fluid to flow.

The length of the needle stroke is determined by the stroke adjustment knob located at the top of the valve. Using a timer, the air solenoid will then close and force the needle down. In addition to the air pressure, there is a spring assist to help close the opening, giving you a clean, sharp cutoff, eliminating messy dripping and stringing.

This is an excellent all purpose, single material valve, used in a variety of applications, including beads, gaskets, shots large and small (using the micro version) potting and bonding. This valve is referred to as a front closing valve, needle valve, high pressure valve, or silicone valve, and is perfect for grease dispensing, lubricant dispensing valve, silicone dispensing. As always, be sure to check for material compatibility. If the material is gritty, there is a carbide steel version available.

Operation

• The valve is opened and closed by applying pressure to the ports.
• The valve may be operated with as little as 30 PSI.
• Material is supplied to the stainless steel body through a 5/16" NPT female port (1/4" can be supplied through special order).
• Fluid pressure may be as high as 3500 PSI.
• Shot size and flow rate are controlled by the tip size, fluid pressure and the duration that the valve is opened.
