If you are dispensing a
filled material, you can still choose from many of the pneumatic dispensers,
but you will find the volumetric dispenser
to be an excellent choice. It will not separate the filler from the base as much
as will a shot meter. This can be especially important with Solder Paste.
If you need to make dots
and you want to use a syringe based system, meaning that you are able to put
enough fluid into the syringe to last for a long time, and if you want to
dispense small amounts, from this size ( · ) to this
size ( ● ), you can easily use any of our syringe based systems - or
Shot Meters - unless you plan on shooting thousands
an hour. In that case, see below for valves and reservoirs.

Getting the right
valve.
There are many types of
valves, and we suggest you pay close attention to the descriptions on each
page. It will note that one is better for unfilled
materials while one is better for filled. If you
are not sure of the correct valve for your specific application, or if you
want us to quote on a specially made valve, send us the
MSDS sheets for your material by
clicking here and filling in the work sheet that best describes the
material you are using. Don't forget the valve controller that will be listed on the
valve page and the valve stand, if you need
one!
If the material is going to be dispensed in
bulk, from 5 gallon pails up to 55 gallon drums,
click here. This thickness material will most likely require a fairly strong
pump, a ram pump and a follower plate to move the material up to the dispense
valve.
