The 7053000 is a rod displacement
metering valve with two integral check valves in the fluid section to
control the flow of material into and out of the valve,
designed to dispense small to medium fluid volumes with a high
degree of precision. Two air ports located in the air section operate a
piston used to retract the needle inside the fluid section then move
it back into place to dispense a dot of material.
The
5900011VC
is the controller
of choice for the
Positive Displacement Mini-valve.
The 7053000 has an
air section (red anodized portion)
and a fluid section (stainless steel portion).

Theory of Operation
The air section is an aluminum body with a simple
piston/cylinder combination used to open and close the valve.
The fluid section is a stainless steel body,
which includes a needle, seat, and two check valves to make up the
metering cylinder. The metering chamber fills as the needle retracts
out of the seat, then dispenses as the needle moves back into the
seat. A stroke adjustment bolt in the air body controls
how far the needle draws back, thus altering how much material can
fill the metering chamber to be dispensed.
