MOD Manually Operated Diaphragm Valve is ideal for Cyanoacrylates and other low to medium viscosity fluids, for use in an operator applied situation. Holding the lever down will apply the material, while a simple lift of the finger from the lever (shown left) will cause the diaphragm to close. The MOD is hand actuated; no need for an expensive valve controller. For applications with a controller, choose the AMD valve, for handheld but more sophisticated and repeatable use. For a typical valve setup, click here.  Click here for the AMD, the automatic timed shot version of this valve. For full automation, or when mounted in a valve stand or workstation, click here.

To feed any IDS valve, choose from our dispensing syringes, (to feed thin to medium materials in very small shots) our single cartridges, (for medium to thicker materials in smaller shots or beads) or for large volume capacity, order one of our reservoirs (for thin to medium materials) or one of our pail dispenser units, for thicker materials.

MOD Diaphragm Valve Features:
  • Silicone disk with Teflon® film embedded on the wetted side.
  • Ergonomic wand construction for easy handheld dispensing.
  • Delrin® material body.
  • Compact, low cost design.
  • Simple configuration with pressure chamber (shown below).
Operation
  • Plumb the material line.
  • Pressurize the fluid delivery system and regulate the material to be dispensed with low pressure.
  • Cycle the valve open by pressing the lever on the valve.
  • Fluid should will begin to dispense from the tip of the valve.
  • Adjust the pressure on the material inlet and connect the proper dispense tip to the luer lock fitting on the end of the valve.
  • Turn the valve upright with the tip pointing in the air.
  • Hold tip over a purge cup or cover the tip with a cloth.
  • Trigger the valve to dispense until bubbles clear the system.
  • Once purged, dispensing can begin.
  • Material inlet pressure and needle size will effect flow rate of material.
