Positive Displacement Valves for thin to thick materials and micro to small shots. Volumetric displacement for materials that have viscosity that change from batch to batch or thicken over time. Intended for high accuracy applications. Designed for precision, light weight design are suitable for benchtop or automatic applications. The stroke adjust and micrometer can achieve the same settings, but the Micrometer will display a numerical value for the operator to indicate how far open the valve is. This allows you to develop a QC procedure and periodically check the micrometer to verify it reads the same setting so that they continue to get the same process results. Also if there is more than one valve in line then it will be easy to calibrate all valves to ensure they are set the same.
Air-actuated positive displacement valves are systems in which the material is allowed to fill an adjustable chamber within the body of the valve, then forcibly emptied during the dispensing cycle. Because the chamber determines the amount of material dispensed, regardless of pressure or viscosity, assemblers can be assured of dispensing the exact same amount of material every time. It’s important to note, however, that even with these kinds of valves, assemblers can’t forget about temperature completely. While shot size remains constant, viscosity will still change, which can affect cycle times as flow rates go down. For this reason, some valves might need water conditioners to maintain a steady temperature.

The 7055000DAK is a desk top or automation system which includes the pneumatic pistol grip controller to be used manually. Trigger cycles the valve to dispense manually adjusted set volume between 0.1cc to 1.45 cc . This Item Will Require A Tool Balance - approximate weight is 6 pounds. Tool balance not provided. The gun does have a mounted ring to attach to your tool balance.
